While the globe celebrates the contribution of all the mothers, let’s have a look at all the Bollywood moms who just amazed the audience and made ‘maa’ a golden historical word.
We just lack words, when it comes to mother. Neither the scientists nor anyone else in this world has invented how she can be defined. But, to give her a small honor we celebrate mothers day on every second Sunday of May.
Adequately, today we have brought you some amazing moms from Bollywood whose several roles are copied and have been pasted in our brains. Let’s see.
No one will doubt if somebody says she is the official mother of on-screen Amitabh Bachchan. Yes, from Suhaag to Amar Akbar Anthony she pampered Big B’s every other character being a mom in his films. Though her most remembered role is from Mard. Her just and struggling mother look defines the ancient mom’s.
So many mothers we have seen since the first films released but she will always top the lists. And next time someone asks you about your possessions, don’t forget to let out ‘mere pass maa hai’.
2. Neena Gupta
The one who is as hot as fire and as cold as ice can be one and only Masaba’s real mother Neena Gupta. She had been a single mother to her fashion designer daughter. But on the screens, Gupta has portrayed multiple kicking momma roles.
The best one is Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Badhaai Do. The middle-aged woman who gets pregnant faces society’s rude remarks but all she did was fight with the odd. Though her Shubh Mangal Jyda Savadhaan’s aggressive mother role can’t be forgotten.
3. Dina Pathak
The real amma of two very talented actresses Ratna Pathak Shah and Supriya Pathak, the veteran had played many memorable mums roles. The prominent one will be from Golmaal.
However, Rekha starrer Khoobsurat released in 1980 gave her the chance to portray Nirmala Gupta, a perfect mama to the family.
4. Fareeda Jalal
The pretty lady in the melody Baagon Me Bahaar Hai, who kills us with her expressions later on blessed the cinema by playing multiple types of moms. The chulbuli mom in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to the magical nani in the serial Shararat we owe our total fascination to her.
Well, let us remind you Laajo in DDLJ, was the best calm and cool mother. The one who dances with her daughters listens to her husband, and also supports the right.
5. Zohra Sehgal
The critical and commercial success of Veer Zara that casts Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta got its supermom in the versions of Zohra Sehgal. Bebe, as her character was called, she has always been our cutest mom.
Apart from this, she made the role of a mother lively in Saawariya, Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gam and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
6. Sheeba Chaddha
Mother is everything to a family and her only wish is to keep her family safe and proud. And Sheeba like a brilliant mother, did the same thing in that series no doubt she sacrificed her singing for the love.
But when she finds that it is a matter of family pride she helped her son in singing. Eventually, her son won that competition against his uncle. This was about Bandish Bandits only, while her various portrayals from the Filter copy compels us to be as cool as her.
Moreover, these were only some of the awesome moms of all time from Bollywood movies. We know the emotions mother possess can’t be defined and elaborated. But our small errands or sympathy can make her day.
