Ayan Mukerji wants to cut short the duration of Ranbir Kapoor movie Brahmastra to 25-30 minutes as he is feeling such a lengthy movie won’t work for today’s generation.
The makers of the most anticipated film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor Brahmastra want the duration of the movie to get reduce from the finalized 3 hours timing. They are deciding whether to cut short it for 25-30 minutes because in this Gen-Z era such a lengthy movie would not work.
Due to its release next year in 2021, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as the protagonists while the other cast comprises Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. It is helmed by Ayaan Mukerjee.
The duration of the movie is too long and the producers fear that this will affect the number of shows the movie will receive in the theatres. As a consequence, the commercial business at the box office will be altered. The multiplexes and single screens both will be impacted.
Production of movies and series have restarted after this lockdown break of months and things are running as usual with keeping in mind the new normal. Ayan wants to wrap up the shoot quickly and finish all the formalities as soon as possible. The filmmaker is eager to release the
movie when the theatres will open up with full potential.
Produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, Brahmastra is an action fantasy film and it is the first part of a trilogy the makers are creating. About the storyline, nothing much is known yet however, it will have some mythological links. Rabbit and Alia will possess some special
powers like that a superhero has.
Last year, Ayan shared an animated picture of the film showing glow from an animated man. He captioned it “light”.
