Ishaan Puri, the son of late actor Om Puri is launching a YouTube channel on his father’s 70th birth anniversary. The son and Om Puri’s wife, Nandita spoke about this to Times Of India.
Ishaan Puri and Nandita Puri will inaugurate a YouTube channel on Om Puri’s 70th birth anniversary. They spoke about it to Times Of India. Son of late Om Puri, Ishaan will release a 4- minute film that will include the tips and tricks of acting art given by his father.
The film is a tribute to Om Puri from his love son and it will consist of some tips of acting from the late actor. As per TOI Ishaan said “It is my first film and it is a tribute to Baba. Through the platform, I will be sharing personal anecdotes and tips for acting which my father gave me over some time and which I have recorded for actors and acting students. These are invaluable and I’d like to share this with the viewers woven with practical examples.”
Ishaan further said “Through Puri Baatein we want to keep Om Puri alive through his legacy and his philosophy. The channel is an initiative by the Om Puri Foundation, which was started by my mother and me.” The family wants to keep continuing the ideology given by Om Puri.
The late actor’s wife Nandita said they will celebrate him on a global level. She started “We will celebrate him globally with year-long programs in India, Cannes, and London and will also be hosting a festival in Punjab. We also look forward to releasing a few films in his memory like Ram Kamal Mukherjee’s ‘Rickshawala’ as well as a couple of his unreleased Hollywood films.”
Om Puri, the actor known for his art in theatres and films left us alone two years ago due to a heart attack built his evergreen image in hearts. He will live in our hearts forever with the movies and roles he lived throughout his life.
